Contemporary jewellery and adornment exploring mental health

Joy is a feeling that is not allowed when living with mental ill health, there’s an assumption that any expression of happiness means that you were never ill in the first place. Having read about the positive long term impact small frequent moments of joy can have on our life, Eleanor has created a series of work exploring different types of joy, designing jewellery which brings moments of joy into our everyday lives. Exploring societal expectations of what living with mental ill-health means, she challenges the unconscious bias that mental ill-health negates all positive experiences.

The power of celebrating the mundane is sorely underrated. It can help keep your relationship happy and most importantly reminds you that what you have achieved no matter how small, matters.
